Free Lutheran Seminary

Since 1964, the Free Lutheran Seminary (previously AFLTS) has been our home for preparing servant pastors for free and living Lutheran congregations.

Seminary training at AFLTS includes three years of classroom instruction on a beautiful campus in suburban Minneapolis. The fourth year includes a one-year congregation-based internship in a Free Lutheran congregation, with an experienced AFLC pastor as supervisor.

It is the purpose of AFLTS to promote educational excellence while also cultivating the highest quality of personal devotional life. If God is leading you to explore full time pastoral ministry or to simply prepare for whatever ministry lies ahead, feel free to visit with Pastor Chris or contact the seminary for a campus visit! Free Lutheran Bible College

The Free Lutheran Bible College (previously AFLBS) is our two-year Bible college designed to help students know and understand God’s Word and apply it to their lives. As students study the Bible, they grow in their relationship with God, develop life-long friendships, and learn to serve God with their lives.

Our schools believe and teach the Bible as the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God, which is powerful to transform lives by the Gospel and practical for every area of life.

AFLBS is located on a beautiful 25-acre campus in Plymouth, Minnesota, just 11 miles west of downtown Minneapolis. Set on the eastern shore of Medicine Lake, the campus provides a peaceful setting for students to study the Bible and grow spiritually.
